Benoît CADIER Chief Executive Officer / Specialty fiber manager

Benoît was awarded a DEA (Diplôme d’études approfondies) in Physics in 1995, followed in 1998 by a doctorate in Physics Fibre Optiques Pour Distribution F.T.T.H. (Fiber To The Home).

Benoît began his career in 1995 as an R&D Engineer with France Télécom as part of the then C.N.E.T. (Centre national d’études des télécommunications), now known as France Télécom R&D.

Three years later he joined Highwave Optical Technologies as R&D Project Manager in charge of developing specialized fiber optics and from 2004 to 2005 he worked as Product Manager in the same field.

Since 2006 Benoît has been working as Chief Executive Officer of iXFiber, which involves responsibilities as both Project and Product Manager for iXFiber’s specialized fiber optics.

Thierry ROBIN Chief Technical Officer

Thierry started his carrier as a research assistant at the Space Vacuum Epitaxy Center, a NASA funded CCDS (Center for the Commercial Development of Space) based at the University of Houston, Texas, where he was involved in the development of a Laser ablation technique for thin film deposition of YBCO  high temperature superconductors.
He held that position from 1988 through 1991 under the supervision of Dr Ron Sega, later to become an astronaut and former Under Secretary of the US Air Force.

After Graduation and the completion of his military service, he joined Alcatel's submarine optical fiber R&D group in 1992 where he held his first position in the Optical fiber business as an MCVD process specialist.
Within the Alcatel group, Thierry held several positions in R&D, industrialization and production for both singlemode and multimode optical fibers.
One of the most challenging task consisted in the development of a large capacity multimode preform process based on the furnace CVD technology with plasma over-cladding.

In 2000 he joined a then start-up, Highwave Optical Technologies, where he was in charge of production and development of specialty optical fibers, such as rare-earth doped, double clad, polarization maintaining fiber...

He co-founded iXFiber in february 2006 where he serves as Chief Technology Officer.

Overall, Thierry has served continuously for the past 20 years in the field of optical fiber manufacturing... and counting !

Thierry studied Physics at the University of Houston and management at the Alcatel-Lucent University.

Patrice CROCHET Sales & Marketing Manager

Patrice graduated from ENSSAT (National School of Applied Science in Technology) option Optronics and a postgraduate degree from the University of Rennes I in Electronics and Optronics.

After a year of scientific quota as a research engineer at The ENSCP (Ecole Nationale de Chimie de Paris), he began working as sales manager at ABSYS Technical Sales, a distributor of components and optical fiber instrumentation. This company distributed ANDO (now YOKOGAWA) in France.

He joined Highwave Optical Technology in 1998 as sales manager for Europe and Asia and then focused on Europe and the UK office in charge of the main clients.

In 2006 he joined iXFiber to develop the sales and marketing division. He became Sales Director of the BU Component when iXBlue was founded.

Laurent LABLONDE Components product manager

Dr Laurent Lablonde graduated from the university of Limoges (France), in 1992, the M.Sc.degree (DEA) in Microwave and Optical Communications, and the Ph.D degree in Optoelectronics, in 1996, from the university of Limoges on Gain Non-linearities in Semiconductor Optical Amplifier.

This research was carried out in CNET, research centre of France Telecom, under the direction of Jean-Claude Simon.

In 1997, he joined the founder team of HighWave Optical Technologies, a spin-off from France Telecom.

He joined iXFiber at the beginning, in 2006, where he has been working as Product Line Manager and Department Manager of the fiber-optic components activity.

Arnaud LAURENT Sub assemblies manager

Arnaud graduated from ENSSAT (National School of Applied Science in Technology) option Optronics.

He began working as EDFA product manager at Pirelli Optical Systems& Cisco Systems.
Three years later, he joined Highwave Optical Technology as EDFA prototyping manager.

In 2004, Arnaud joined Keopsys, where he was in charge of laser development.

Since 2008, Arnaud has been working as Product Line Manager and Department Manager of sub-assemblies activity of iXFiber.

Pierre BUISSON Health and Security manager

Pierre gratuated from the university of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne a DESS in Ergonomie followed by a Master in Health and Safety from Polytech Grenoble.

He has worked for 10 years in CNET, reseach centre of France Telecom, as Health and Safety manager.
In 2001, he worked in HighWave Optical Technologies, a spin-off from France Telecom.
He joined iXFiber at the beginning, in 2006, as Facilities Manager and Health and Security Manager.
